It was bad enough that Vladimir Guerrero had to come back from the dead and show Angels fans that he still has something left in the tank but now the Rangers look like the proverbial "team to beat" in the AL West.
The Anaheim Angels are already 5 games behind the Texas Rangers and they're having trouble scoring runs and now this...
Cliff Lee was 4-0 with a 1.56 ERA last season in the playoffs for the Phillies. Cliff Lee is an ace and most definitely exactly what the Rangers needed if they wanted to finish this season strong. Lee is the real deal.. this is the kinda guy that shuts you down for 8 innings and than turns the game over to the closer and that's against the best teams in baseball.
This changes everything for the Angels because they've always been able to rely on the strength of their pitching and while the Rangers have always been good to great offensively, they've never had the pitching to compliment their bats and now they do.
The rest of this baseball season just got more interesting for Anaheim Angels fans.
