Brandon Wood is batting a whopping .102 with only five singles and zero RBI in 49 at bats and worst of all he's struck out 16 times in that span... I know the Anaheim Angels had high hopes for Brandon Wood but he seems clueless up there at the plate sometimes and the Angels were bound to whiff on at least one prospect...
Think about how many other prospects the Angels have done well with and you'll be able to accept them falling short with Brandon Wood. Kendry Morales, Howie Kendrick, Eric Aybar, Maicer Izturis, Chone Figgins, Franciso Rodriquez, Scott Shields, John Lackey, Jared Weaver, Ervin Santana and Joe Saunders. That list of young players that the Angels have developed into full time MLB players is a testament to their scouts and talent evaluators but they missed on Brandon Wood...

It get harder and harder to trot Brandon wood out there because he's now seen as the least productive starter in all of major league baseball. The Angels have a lot invested in Brandon Wood but let's not forget he went into the season with a lifetime .192 batting average so he's never been able to hit and the Angels have babied him along the past few seasons refusing to force him to produce and now that they are he's hitting around .100...
Brandon Wood has hit 7 home runs in 270 Major League at bats but the Angels seem to be solely focused on what he has done in the Minor leagues. Brandon Wood is clearly one of those guys that is an all-star in the minors but can't seem to get it done at the Major League level.
